HARMONIC MITIGATING TRANSFORMERS, 45 KVA, P/N MG-276
L/C Magnetics specializes in Harmonic Mitigating Transformers (HMTs), which are specially designed transformers that reduce harmonic distortions in electrical systems caused by nonlinear loads such as computers, LED lighting, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Unlike regular transformers, this special transformer utilizes advanced winding configurations, phase shifting, and zero-sequence harmonic cancellation to minimize the effects of harmonics. The minimization of the harmonics is to help improve the power quality and system efficiency. By blocking the triple harmonics and canceling specific harmonic orders through phase displacement, HMTs help reduce overheating, which in turn, improves the voltage stability and enhances the lifespan of electrical equipment. Demonstarting an example of these applications and our capabilities, we present our Harmonic Mitigating Transformer 45 KVA.
