TRANSFORMER 200 VA, 300 KHZ

The 200 VA 300 kHz transformer, P/N 19889-2, is a custom single-phase, high-frequency transformer designed to convert 5000 VAC to 250 VAC. Therefore, it provides a nominal 20:1 step-down voltage ratio for specialized high-frequency power conversion and isolation applications.

The transformer uses an ETD 59/31/22 ferrite core made from 3C97 material. In addition, the design includes an E + E ferrite core pair, a 24-pin bobbin and copper windings. The compact construction supports operation at 300 kHz while providing clearly defined primary and secondary terminal connections.

• Primary consists of two separate coils: Pin (1, 6) and Pin (6, 12)

Test results are summarized below.

A.    Hi-Pot: core to pin 1, core to pin 13, pin 1 to pin 13 – 5000 Volts peak: ALL PASSED
B.    Apply 2.2 Volts peak-to-peak, 300 KHz, on Pin (1, 12) using an oscilloscope.
C.    Output is verified as 0.11 Volt peak-to-peak on Pin (13, 24) using an oscilloscope.
D.    We do not have test equipment to measure 5000 Volts RMS on Pin (1, 12) at 300 KHz.
