IRON CORE GAPPED INDUCTOR
15 uH, 1 PH, 250 Amps RMS, 1 kHz, P/N 10122L
This 15 µH gapped iron-core inductor is intended for demanding high-current power electronics applications and is capable of continuous operation at 250 A RMS around 1 kHz. The gapped magnetic core allows the inductor to maintain its specified inductance under substantial AC or DC bias by preventing magnetic saturation and enabling controlled energy storage. It is designed for a maximum working voltage of 400 VAC, governed by the insulation system and physical clearances rather than the inductance value itself. Flexible braided leads are used to accommodate the very high current while minimizing AC resistance due to skin effect at kilohertz frequencies, as well as providing low parasitic inductance and mechanical compliance for thermal expansion and vibration, making the inductor well suited for robust, high-power industrial systems.
